Chad M.R. Thomas, Sr. was raised a master mason on March 24, 2006 in Valdosta Lodge No. 19 in Valdosta, Georgia while serving in the military at Moody Air Force Base. Valdosta Lodge No. 19 is a subordinate lodge to the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Georgia, Free and Accepted Masons. Shortly after becoming a mason, his military duties caused him to move to Okinawa, Japan later that year where he became an associate member of A.K. Wilkins Military Lodge No. 56 under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Oklahoma. His love and adoration for the masonic order prompted him to gain membership and be active in several appendant and concordant masonic organizations. During his time in Valdosta, GA, brother Thomas served as the head of various masonic houses:

Brother Thomas also maintained membership in the Holy Royal Arch, Royal & Select Masters, and Knights Templar.
Upon retiring from the military in 2016, he moved to Wichita, Kansas where he continued his masonic journey by transferring to Fred Douglass Lodge No. 99 of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Kansas, Free and Accepted Masons. He also petitioned and was granted dual membership into Albert Pike Lodge No. 303 of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Kansas, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons where he currently serves as Senior Warden.
